Black-Eyed Peas

3 bags of frozen black-eyed peas
2 smoked ham hocks
1/2 white onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot add all of the above ingredients and cook on medium-high for about 45 minutes, then reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours, until peas are tender!
